Friends of Children’s Hospital is the named charity for The Viking Classic, Mississippi’s only PGA tour event. Each year Viking has donated a full kitchen and other culinary prizes to be used in a raffle to raise money for Friends. Proceeds from The Viking Classic have helped to purchase a new entertainment system for each patient room at children’s hospital. The LodgeNet system will enable patients to watch and pause movies on-demand, surf the internet, play games, watch television and watch preloaded movies regarding their illness or treatment. Viking Range has also sponsored An Evening with the Mannings and Eli and Emeril have faced off in several GridIron cooking demonstration on Viking appliances.
